Learning the Ropes

Councilman Elect, Bobby Howard, Digs in and Dives into the Trenches of City Government

Councilman-Elect, Bobby Howard, may know the City of Snellville like the back of his hand, but when it comes to City Government and Administration there may be a slight learning curve. After deciding to run for Snellville City Council, with customary "Bobby Howard" tenacity, he dug his heels in deep and dove right into the trenches.

Prior to qualifying for his candidacy in late August, Bobby began introducing himself and meeting with City Staff in order to learn more about Snellville's Government and operations. Once it was determined that Bobby would face no opponent in this years General Election, he continued with his Snellville 101 Education, only with greater intensity and focus.

Bobby has been meeting with the City's Divisional Managers, touring all the City's facilities and parks, as well as attending required orientation courses. Additionally, Bobby enrolled in the City of Snellville's Citizen's Police Academy which is sponsored by the Snellville Police Department.

It is Bobby's goal to learn everything possible about Snellville's Government, Administration and Operations prior to taking office in November, as well as be a fully involved and interactive Council Member during his tenure as a Snellville City Council Member.

Another goal that Bobby has been working diligently toward as of late is ABSOLUTELY the most important decision that the City of Snellville faces in this November's upcoming election; the City's Mayoral Race!

Bobby would like to for all of his friends and supporters to know that he whole-heartedly supports Barbara Bender for Mayor of Snellville, and strongly encourages you to do so as well!

Bobby states, "I am supporting Barbara Bender for Mayor of Snellville because she has exhibited time after time the LEADERSHIP skills to make the tough and reasoned decisions needed to continue moving Snellville in a POSITIVE direction. She understands that it will take a TEAM of independent thinking council members working as a cohesive unit to keep the City of Snellville moving FORWARD into the future. I look forward to being a part of that team."

PLEASE VOTE on November 8, 2011 at Snellville City Hall. There are several key issues on the ballot, especially when it comes to making the decision on who will lead our Great City for the next four years!

Bobby Howard will be sworn into office on November 14, 2011, and looks forward to serving the great City of Snellville with resolve, respect and integrity!

Thank you for your trust.

Bobby
